Finding jobs the Talentbase way

The way that you find jobs in Talentbase is by keeping your profile as up to date and complete as possible. Talentbase uses your information to match you with all of the jobs in our system.

First things first: editing your profile

In addition to the Skills tab, there are seven sections that you can fill out on the Info tab. In the Skills, Education, Certifications, Employment, Military and Languages sections, just click on the +add ____ link next to the header to add a new line of entries. Then you just go from field to field entering your professional data. In some cases, you just start typing and Talentbase will guess what you are trying to add. If pulls up what you are trying to add, just select it from the list; if not, finish typing and just hit enter...Talentbase will then let you add it to your profile. It's really easy!

If you ever want to edit anything on your profile, just hover over it, click on it and edit it right inline. If you ever want to remove a line, just hover over it and you should see the remove link appear to the right of the line. Then just click it and you're done.

Adding a profile picture is also really easy! When you move your cursor over the current picture (or over the placeholder if no profile pic has already been uploaded), you should see a link that lets you change your pic.

Job matches

You will be notified by email every time that you are matched to a new job. You can see the company, job title and job description of your job matches right here. Notice that you can also see the status...this will help you know where you are in the hiring process.

Taking video interviews

Some recruiters may ask you to take a video interview. It's extremely easy and straightforward. Don't have a webcam...don't worry! Although we do recommend that you borrow a computer that has a web cam, you can also record an audio only interview as well. We'll help you test your devices before you start to make sure it goes off without a hitch!

Finding candidates the Talentbase way

The way that you connect to candidates in Talentbase is by creating a Job Lead. A Job Lead is essentially a search against our database. The difference is that instead of just connecting you to the people already inside of Talentbase, you will be connected to all of the new people that meet the requirements of the Job Lead for as long as the Job Lead is active.

First things first: creating a Job Lead

Creating a Job Lead should feel very natural since it allows you to tell the system exactly what type of candidate you are looking for. Simply navigate to the Job Leads page and click on "Create Job Lead".

On the Job Lead creation page, you'll be able to add your job title and description and video interview questions as well as the powerful Talentbase search. During our beta test, you have access to all of our candidates for free. So take advantage!

Easily view Job Lead details

Once your Job Leads are created for you, you can see their details by clicking on the Job Lead name to ensure that everything has been set up to your liking. You can make changes to the requirements of your Job Lead up until you have matched your first candidate at which point you will only be able to edit things like job title, job description and advertised location. If you have any problems at any time, you can always contact the Talentbase Team at 801.692.4053 or support@talentbase.me.

When there are a lot of requirements, the system will truncate the requirements into a link (e.g., "Has Associates or Bachelors degree in Comparative sociology, Cooperative learning or 2 others from any school."). To see those requirements, just hover over the link.

Manage candidates

You can also view and manage all of the candidates that meet the minimum requirements on your Job Lead. Since thousands of candidates join Talentbase every week, new qualified candidates are automatically connected to your account on an ongoing basis. You can take action across many candidates by selecting the checkbox next to their name and choosing an action (i.e., invite them to a video interview) from the drop down.

You can also view a candidate's profile individually by clicking on the candidate's name. You will be able to see everything from work history to education to work availability. You can review answers to video interview questions and take notes.

Look at individual candidate profiles

You can also drill down and view the beautifully designed candidate profiles individually. This is where you can review their video interview responses, see their work history as well as take notes and rate candidates.
